Thursday, May 7th is The National Day of Prayer
in Morehead & around the world.
The 2009 Theme is "Prayer-America's Hope". Citizens in Morehead and
Rowan County will be observing this special day of prayer with various
events throughout the day.
Noon Hour Prayer- 12 noon will be held at the Morehead Conference Center.
Join with others as we pray together for our city, state & nation and for
the evening service.
Praying for Our Leaders Prayer Circle & NDP Balloon Launch- 3-4pm on the
Old Courthouse Lawn. Our state & area government leaders have been invited
to attend this prayer event as we pray for them to be encouraged & lead in
Godly wisdom. Directly following this is the 1st Annual NDP Rowan County
Balloon Launch. Your prayer requests will be tied to helium-filled balloons
and released in a spectacular display of color & faith!
City-Wide Prayer Walk- 5:30pm. Our annual prayer walk begins at the
Morehead Conference Center and will take us to key spots along Main Street
as we pray in unity "on site with insight" over our city. The walk is
approximately 2 miles in length and will finish back at the Conference
Center in time for the evening service. Children are welcome to attend with
careful parental supervision as we will be walking along busy roads.
Community Worship Service- 6:30pm. Join with hundreds of other Morehead
area believers in worshiping Jesus. The NDP worship team is made up of
musicians and singers from different churches in our region.
The 17th Annual Community-Wide Prayer Service- 7-9pm. Immediately
following the Worship Service we will begin a solemn assembly of corporate
prayer & repentance. Special music and a brief, but powerful drama will be
included.
Note- There will a love offering taken to cover the expenses of these events  ($350 plus)

"Shake This City" Community Youth Worship & Prayer Event
Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 7pm
This will be held at Judah Christian Fellowship

Several area youth worship bands from different churches in the county
will be sharing. Come ready to jam, worship & pray for an explosion
of God's love in Rowan County.
